21st Century Shoe Shine

21st Century Shoe Shine

Author: Dana Bradley

Back in the early to mid 1900's it wasn't uncommon to see a man shoe shine a business man's shoes. In most cases, a shoe shinermade more money on his own than working in the fields or in as weat shop. Nearly 100 years later in a park in a park in a popular city, a man walks around with an old paint buck that heuses for his seat; underneath his arm is his tool kit to repair any man's shoe and add a little sparkle in their step.

This man receives a lot of stares and sometimes dirty looks from people who wonder, 'How can he stoop so low to shine someone'sshoe'. This is how he makes his living. Young men dressed in Brooks Brothers Suits with cufflinks or shades of black and greyslacks with cashmere sweaters (business casual). As they walk into the park to enjoy the little quite that's left in this bigcity, they whip out their palm pilot to view their stock status before a man interrupts their piece to ask to do a shoe shine.

Then young man accepts even though he just purchased his KennethCole shoes yesterday. 15 minutes pass and this young man whips out his palm pilot once again to email his secretary to cancel his last appointment, he's getting his shoes shined.

It's 12:30 in the afternoon and believe it or not, this shoe shiner has already earned $100 for the day and he has only beenshining shoes for 2 hours. That young man made $30 in the past two hours...go figure. Actually, the shoe shiner made more in 2hours than some of the people who gave him dirty looks as they passed by.

This man may be a shoe shiner but he is in control of his own destiny...his 'career destiny'. He sets his own hours where as the man that's getting his shoe shined and has to answer to someone. Not the shoe shiner. Let's say that the shoe shiner consistently shines 3 to 4 people per hour for the amount of$20. Let's say he works 8 hours straight, the same amount of time the young man works in his posh office building. 8 hours at3 people per hour is a total of $480 dollars. The shoe shiner is only $120 away from earning the young man's weekly salary gross amount.

Great Looking And Cheap Bridal Shoes

Great Looking And Cheap Bridal Shoes

Author: Sam Smith

Most brides can quickly end up spending thousands of dollars forone special day in their life. This is fin and you wanteverything to be the absolutely magical for your wedding. However if there are some ways to save money then why not? It isalways great to save money and still look great. Cheap bridalshoes are a good way to cut costs.Cheap bridal shoes do not have to look cheap, old fashioned orout of style. There are where you can purchase elegant but cheapwedding shoes if you only know where to look.

Great Sources For Cheap Bridal Shoes

There are numerous ways to find cheap bridal shoes. Two of thebest ways are to look at local bridal shops and at departmentstores. They often offer cheap bridal shoes with designerinspired styles. For example if you are looking for a great pair of Vera Wangbridal shoes why not look at department stores. Often they willcarry a wide variety of Vera Wang inspired shoes. These will bemade by other manufacturers many you have probably never heardof. However for many the name of the shoe makes matter less thenthe design. So if you are looking for a great design but cheaperwedding shoe then a Vera Wang inspired shoe is a great way to go.

Macy's is a great department store to try. They often carry awide variety of designs by lesser known manufacturers but willbe able to pass the savings on to you. Keep in mind that theyare somewhat limited and you might not find the hottest JimmyChoo designer wedding shoe but you can often find something thatwill work for your situation.
Cheap bridal shoes can be found at many different stores in avariety of styles if you do some work and look hard to find thebest deals. You can often find peep-toe, ankle strap, pumps andsandals in various colors and styles. You can also purchase apair of dyeable cheap bridal shoes if you want the color of theshoe to match a certain color used in your wedding.

When To Shop For Cheap Bridal Shoes

Knowing where to shop is half the battle and a great way to getdiscounted brial shoes. However if you want the best quality andtrue rock bottom prices then you have to not only know where toshop but when to shop also. You can often find your discountbridal shoes for the best possible price when you know thespecific month when they will be on sale.

You can often simply ask at your local bridal shop when theshoes go on sale. Generally speaking however there are certaintimes of year when the shoes go on sale. For example often inthe month of January after the holiday season shoes will go onsale. Then again in October a few weeks after the back to schoolrush. However just to be sure and know your particular locationit can't hurt to ask.

Also you want to understand how season inventory works. Allclothing inventory is seasonal and changes with the fourseasons. For example an open toe bridal sandal is going to lookkind of strange in the middle of winter. So often at the end ofa season as the new clothes hit the market stores are forced tosell off their existing inventory to make way for the new shoes. So if you are having a wedding in the late Spring then this yearright after that time passes go in a snag a good deal on heavilydiscounted designer inspired bridal shoes. If you are have awinter wedding then go in late August and pick up a great dealon your wedding shoes.

There are a lot of different ways to save big money on yourwedding shoes and if they look almost the same as the moreexpensive version then why not save the extra buck. It alwayshelps a new struggling family out to have a little extra moneyfor the things ahead...
